General Air Filter Information
The Arm & Hammer Microparticle Pleated Air Filter is up to
45 times more effective than spun glass on sub micron sized particles.
It has about twice the surface area of flat panel air filters and
is designed to provide allergy relief as well as odor control. It
is made with real Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, proven to remove
various household odors. The low airflow resistance allows for better
equipment operation and helps save energy. The filter fibers are
electrostatically charged and the air filter lasts up to 90 days.
Baking soda is made from an ore found in nature which is mined
and then processed to form sodium bicarbonate, also know as baking
soda. Odors are composed of chemicals that are diffused throughout
the air. The chemicals can be man-made or can be naturally occurring.
Baking soda is very effective on naturally occurring odor such as
food, pet and human body odors, more so than activated carbon. Baking
soda brings the pH to a more neutral or balanced state. This words
especially well on naturally occurring odors, which are usually
acids or bases and are not pH neutral. In an air filter each fiber
is coated with a fuzzy covering of baking soda. "Fuzziness"
increased both odor removal and gives more contact area for the
dust to collide and be captured by the filter.

The Arm & Hammer Microparticle Pleated Air Filter has about
twice as much filtering surface area as an ordinary flat panel
spun glass filter. This greater filtering surface reduces airflow
restriction for better fuel economy and allows greater loading
for longer life.

Unlike unwrapped filters that collect dust and dirt sitting on
store shelves, Arm & Hammer Microparticle Pleated is sealed
fresh a the factory, so it's 100% clean and ready to work when
you unwrap it.
IMPORTANT
Running your furnace or central air conditioner with a blocked
air filter of any type may result in damage to the fan motor or
compressor. Due to the exceptionally high particle removal efficiency
of the Arm & Hammer Mircoparticle Pleated filter, it is very
important that the filter be checked regularly to ensure it is
providing normal airflow. In controlled test conditions, this
air filter will provide maximum performance for up to 90 days.
However, in certain high dust conditions, it may reach it's maximum
dust holding capacity in a shorter period of time.
