Furnace filters satisfy the original purpose of having an air filter which is to protect your HVAC equipment from getting dirty. Flanders Poly air filters are a good choice when your main concern is just to protect your system. If you would additionally like to improve your indoor air quality by capturing finer dust particles and allergens such as pet dander, pollen, mold spores, and dust mite debris, you may want to consider a pleated air filter. Pleated air filters remove a high percentage of these suspended particles that cannot be seen and are much more beneficial to those with allergies. Carbon pleated air filters absorb irratating odors from the air. Baking soda pleated air filters freshen the air with proven sodium bicarbonate technology.
