When you consider buying a 10x24x1 filter from us, it is important to consider the MERV rating. MERV, which stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, refers to the size of particles which the filter allows through. Filters with MERV ratings ranging from 1 to 4 can only trap larger particles, while 5 to 8 are considered more suitable ratings for filtering air, as they stop any particles larger than 10 microns. All of our 10x24x1 filters have at least an 8 rating, meaning that they can stop particles in the 1 to 3 micron range, and even smaller, giving home owners the best dust control options possible and leaving them with a very clean environment. Furnace filters satisfy the original purpose of having an air filter; a furnace filter will protect your HVAC equipment from getting dirty.
