Furnace filters satisfy the original purpose of having an air filter; a furnace filter will protect your HVAC equipment from getting dirty. While a furnace filter will keep your HVAC equipment clean which is a very important job, it will do little to improve indoor air quaility which has become a big issue with the number of indoor air pollutants present today. Pleated air filters will remove suspended particles that cannot be seen such a pollens, thus helping allergy sufferers. Carbon pleated air filters absorb irratating odors from the air.
