Equipment protection is an essential requirement to ensure proper operation and extend the life of your heating and air conditioning unit.  This can be fulfilled by the use of an air filter.  A basic flat-panel poly filter is suitable for capturing dust and is designed to accomplish this main objective.

  • The primary purpose of an air filter is to protect your system and its components from dust and debris.
  • The secondary purpose of an air filter is to exchange circulating air with cleaner air after passing through the filter.
  • A flat-panel poly filter will accomplish these goals. 
  • As you increase your level of filtration by selecting a higher MERV rating, you will also increase the effectiveness of capturing smaller particles of dust, allergens, and indoor pollutants
