Bacteria Screen Check

Bacteria are one of the main sources of indoor environmental contaminants that are responsible for a variety of respiratory infections and infectious diseases.  The Bacteria Screen Check is designed to identify and provide concentration levels of Microbacterium, Micrococcus, and Staphylococcus by using a swab culture technique called the Bio-Vial.

Testing Process:  Your test kit will be mailed to you along with everything needed for the testing process.  Once you complete the test, you will return it to the lab using the postage-paid envelope provided.  Your results will be provided by email in a PDF format in 10-14 business days after the lab receives your test.

 

Your Results:  EDLab (Environmental Diagonostics Laboratory), accredited by the AIHA (American Industrial Hygiene Association), will provide a final report included in the cost of the test.  The report will provide concentration levels of Bacteria Flora which will be reported in Colony Forming Units (CFU) and will have guidelines for what is considered to be a normal, manageable level.  A toll-free phone number for the lab is provided if you should have any questions concerning your results.
