FAST Screen Check

Aspergillus and Stachybotrys are listed as potentially toxic molds.  This is a do-it-yourself kit for detecting the presence or absence of Aspergillus or Stachybotrys without the need to send a sample to the lab.

 

The kit also comes with a bonus Bio-Scan that can be used as an additional sample to be mailed to the lab for analysis.  The Bio-Scan will identify and provide concentration levels for the types of molds found.  Included in the analysis will be concentration levels for Aspergillus and Stachybotrys if found to be present in the FAST Screen Check.

 

Testing Process:  Your test kit will be mailed to you along with everything needed for the testing process.  Once you complete the test, you will return it to the lab using the postage-paid envelope provided.  Your results will be provided by email in a PDF format in 3-5 business days after the lab receives your test.

 

Your Results:  EDLab (Environmental Diagonostics Laboratory), accredited by the AIHA (American Industrial Hygiene Association), will provide a final report included in the cost of the test.  The report will show specific information on the genus level of each mold type identified and will have guidelines for what is considered to be a normal, manageable level.  A toll-free phone number for the lab is provided if you should have any questions concerning your results.
